Louis Sahagún shares the fascinating life and times of Manly Palmer Hall, one of the last century’s most important mystical thinkers, including the mysterious nature of his death.

GUEST BIO:

Louis Sahagún is a staff writer at the Los Angeles Times. He covers issues ranging from religion, culture and the environment to crime, politics and water. He was on the team of L.A. Times writers that earned the Pulitzer Prize in public service for a series on Latinos in Southern California and the team that was a finalist in 2015 for the Pulitzer Prize in breaking news. He is a CCNMA: Latino Journalists of California board member, and author of the book, Master of the Mysteries: The Life of Manly Palmer Hall.

Jonathan Zap – Human Metamorphosis

Jonathan Zap draws on his lifelong study of Carl Jung and on his equally long study of dreams and science fiction, in an attempt to help us understand a whole new way of viewing reality. He will discuss a potential apocalypse, human transformation, prophecy, and futurist speculation as we move into an age of accelerating mystery.

GUEST BIO:

Jonathan Zap grew up in the Bronx and attended the Bronx High School of  Science. He graduated from Ursinus College with honors in Philosophy and English and received his Masters’s degree in English from NYU.

Jonathan is an author, philosopher, journalist, and teacher who has written extensively on psychology and contemporary mythology. Jonathan has worked as a staff gemologist and instructor for the Gemological Institute of America. He has taught English in high school and college and worked with troubled youth as the dean of a South Bronx High School. As a wilderness guide, Jonathan has led inner-city kids and other young people on expeditions to remote desert canyons and to the summit of Mount Rainer.

Jonathan is the author of numerous published articles, essays, experimental works of fiction and the Zap Oracle. He has done numerous radio and television interviews. Jonathan has a background in Jungian psychology, paranormal research, literature, writing, editing and many other subjects. He uses his eclectic background to take a multi-disciplinary approach to understanding and writing about many subjects
